How to link IIT Guwahati webmail account to Microsoft outlook

Steps to be followed:

Step1: When you open outlook for the first time Account Configuration> new
Step2 : Choose the first option “Internet Email”
Step3 : Provide your IITG Webmail account. Provide the Incoming and
Outgoing Server in which your Webmail is configured (this information is provided by CC at the time of
creating your Email),
eg. Naambor : naambor.iitg.ernet.in or 202.141.80.9
Teesta : teesta.iitg.ernet.in or 202.141.80.12 etc
Step4 : Click on “More Settings”. Click the Advance tab and Choose the option “Leave a copy of messages on the server”
(otherwise all the mails will be moved from the server to the mail client) and Click OK.
